Super Swim Start to Fenland league.
Huge well done to all 21 who swam on Saturday night at Boston in the first of this seasons Junior Fenland League Galas. Swimming against Boston, Peterborough A, First strokes and Chatteris; the Swans swam with guts and determination to finish 4th overall on the night.
The evening kicked off with some strong swims from the older more experienced of our swimmers. Swiftly and superbly followed by their cohort of 10 swimmers for whom Saturday night was their first Gala. Each and everyone of whom did the club proud! A raft of superb PB’s were created and the older crew also added a number of PB’s to the tally.
Team Captains Darcy and Ellie awarded their ‘outstanding boy and girl of the meet’ to Ewan Kendall and Mia Jones respectively. Well done to you both! It was a thoroughly enjoyable start to the season and the Swans ended the evening with oggie, oggie, oggie- oi, oi, oi. Thanks to Boston for hosting, a great evening was had by all. Thanks to Kimberley for her calm guidance for all the swimmers throughout the evening and thanks to support from the two team captains, and Sarah, Lisa and Kate for poolside assistance and timekeeping.
